fix(runtime): cancel Intelligence connect reads with the request - #8217
An aborted runtime connect request currently leaves its Intelligence metadata HTTP read running. Forward the original Request.signal through ɵconnectThread into the existing shared request/fetch path, including response-body consumption. Calls without a signal and existing connection/status behavior remain supported.
Regression tests use the real Intelligence client and a local HTTP server: pre-aborted requests dispatch no HTTP work; aborting while waiting for headers or JSON body closes the actual connection before fixture cleanup; the successful read preserves user, agent, thread and run metadata. Before the fix: 1 passed / 3 failed. After: all 128 focused client, connect-handler and network tests passed. Runtime type check and official Nx build passed. Focused lint: 0 errors, one unchanged createConnectRequest helper-scoping warning. No dependency, generated version, changelog, changeset or authorization changes.
Independent exact-head source/evidence review at b89fa1c: CLEAR, no blocking findings. Reviewer inspected signal/status semantics and fixture cleanup; did not rerun tests/builds. Reviewer model/reasoning metadata unavailable. No release or merge requested through automation.

New Features
Intelligence connection requests now support cancellation. When a request is aborted, the pending connection is stopped, including while waiting for a response.
Bug Fixes
Aborted connection requests no longer continue to dispatch metadata requests or remain open while awaiting a response.
The Intelligence connect handler now passes the incoming request’s abort signal through ɵconnectThread to the HTTP request. Tests cover signal forwarding and cancellation before the request, while waiting for headers, and while waiting for the response body.

ɵconnectThread accepts an optional AbortSignal. The connect handler passes request.signal, and the client forwards it to #request.
Handler tests check signal forwarding across connect cases. HTTP tests check successful connection data and cancellation before the request, while waiting for headers, and while waiting for the response body.

Merge Risk: Low · up to b89fa
Cancellation forwarding is implemented, with bounded follow-up needed: distinguish caller aborts from upstream failures and synchronize the body-cancellation test with client receipt. No serious production failure is established.

Explanation
The title names the primary change: Intelligence connect reads now cancel when the runtime request is aborted. The raw summary confirms the signal is forwarded from handleIntelligenceConnect through ɵconnectThread and the HTTP request path, and the tests cover the abort behavior. The title is specific and matches the changeset and PR objectives.

Wait for response headers before aborting in the body-mode test.
f.started resolves inside the server handler, before the client reads any response bytes. The body case therefore aborts before headers arrive, which is the same pre-header path the headers case covers. A regression that stops honoring the signal while the body is read would still pass this test. Wait until fetch resolves before aborting in body mode.
Suggested fix
-import { afterEach, describe, expect, it } from "vitest";+import { afterEach, describe, expect, it, vi } from "vitest";
await f.started;
+ if (mode === "body") await f.headersReceived;
f.controller.abort();
Refactor priority: recommended. The change adds test coverage for abort during body consumption, which is working behavior. The effort is one test file, about 15 lines, plus a fetch spy that the existing cleanup restores. The reward is that the test named for body-phase cancellation exercises that phase.

Return early for caller aborts in the connect catch block.
When the caller aborts during the Intelligence connect read, the catch block logs "Connect request could not reach Intelligence" and returns 502. The PR newly sends these aborts to that path. Add a guard at the start of the catch block so an aborted request returns before the log.
