Reproduction steps
Play the 2 songs in a playlist.
Expected result
Should be fully gapless (and was previously)
Actual result
There's a small glitch between the files.
Logs shows
2026-04-03 22:03:52.921 Verbose ExoPlayer Mp3Extractor - Data size mismatch between stream (33218028) and Xing frame (33217900), using Xing value.
2026-04-03 22:04:16.129 Verbose ExoPlayer Mp3Extractor - Data size mismatch between stream (9268883) and Xing frame (9268755), using Xing value.
Some of the recent changes around that probably trigger this now.

At which version of media3 was the playback gapless?

Unfortunately the user don't know as always :( But I suppose 1.9 was working.
From git history maybe f1cb4ab could cause this ?

So @icbaker after investigating a little a made a quick fix, I used Codex to review and after it's comment (
subtracting delay/padding directly inside computeDurationUs(), is risky because it would inflate CBR bitrate math and change VBR Xing behavior too, so I would not send that upstream.) I used it to actually try to propose the proper fix #3198Handle gapless MP3 Xing/Info durations
Use gapless MP3 Xing/Info durations in seek maps
