Trick Mode Support per DASH-IF guidelines #3315

Closed

Description

@aarubui

[REQUIRED] Use case description

I would like support for Trick Mode according to DASH-IF IOP v3.2 clause 3.2.9. Currently, the support provided in DashMediaPeriod.java#L667-L695 only allows an integer @value in the EssentialProperty/SupplementalProperty descriptor. I would like to see support for a white-space separated list of @id values.

Example:

<EssentialProperty schemeIdUri="http://dashif.org/guidelines/trickmode" value="10001 20001 30001" />

    Thanks for reporting, we can fix that by parsing the first group id from the list. This is under the assumption that all these groups are already marked as compatible with the adaptation-set-switching property and will be combined under ExoPlayer's TrackGroup model.

    Thanks. That assumption is indeed correct for the examples I've seen.
