🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winPreserve percentage-containing z translations.
The rewrite applies to the z slot. It changes
translateZ(calc(0% + 1px))totranslateZ(1px). It also changes the third argument oftranslate3d()to a length. The original declaration is invalid because the z slot requires a length, so this changes a dropped declaration into an applied transform.Suggested fix
let changed = false; for (let i = 0; i < args.length; i++) { + if (fn === "translatez" || (fn === "translate3d" && i === 2)) { + continue; + } const term = _dropZeroPercentTerm(args[i].trim());🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

A font-relative length kept nine digits so a ratio written to land on whole pixels (2/19em at 19px) still lands there. Keep the fewest digits, from six, that compute the same float as the written length at every whole-pixel scale up to 256 where either float sits on a 1/64px or 1/60px half-step, read as a double (Blink, WebKit) and as a parsed float (Gecko). That gives back about a third of the gzip the nine-digit rule cost.

Write a string's hex escape of a character past U+FFFF as the character and open the stylesheet with `@charset "UTF-8"` (the new `declareCharset` print option, which `cssMinify` turns on for a file and off for a `style` attribute). The extract-comments banner moves to the end of a CSS asset so the rule stays its opening bytes. Also write what lightningcss 1.33.0 writes shorter: a lone `flex` basis, one value for a pair shorthand, a named color in `background`, a negative term folded inside a transform function, the `normal`s before a `font` size and its first family unquoted, a `scale` percentage as a number and a time moved by a power of ten. A later hex with no alpha now drops an earlier named color, as a later name already dropped an earlier hex.

…shorthand does not set, and fix a reorder that could move one past a declaration it overrides Members of a declaration family print in a fixed order, a property only a member's name starts after them, and an alias at its property's place. A merge or grid join now steps over a declaration that cannot be read against a later slot, by the same test the reorder moves by, so a block merges the same before and after it is reordered. The reorder checked no inverted pair whose later member stayed at its index, which let `margin-left:1px;margin:var(--a);--b:2` print `margin-left` last; a side no longer counts as writing a corner radius its name starts.
…tion WebKit starts a transition on the shared probe from what it last computed, so a keyframe that writes `transition` before `transform` read every later value mid-transition.
Resetting the shared probe was not enough in WebKit: a transition it held still moved `opacity` read later. The main probe now never holds one.
…inifying The map it names is the source's own, which the minified text no longer matches. lightningcss, esbuild, csso, clean-css and cssnano drop it, as webpack's JS minifier drops `//#`; `comments: true` or a selector still keeps it, and webpack adds its own after minifying.
…n-ASCII character The rule was tied to astral characters and to a `@charset` the source opened with, so a stylesheet of Chinese text kept no declaration while one of ASCII could. It is now one test over the output: a non-ASCII character, kept comments included, opens the file with `@charset "UTF-8"`, and nothing else does. Also keeps a JSDoc block within three lines, as review asked.
Printed after the `@charset` the minifier now opens a non-ASCII sheet with, a BOM is no longer the file's first bytes and reads as part of the first selector. Decoding drops it, so the minifier does too.
Both callers of the declaration order skip an empty declaration before asking, so the branch that ranked one was never reached and goes.
Takes out `reorderDeclarations`, the family ranks it orders by and the reorder of a joined rule's body. Folds and merges keep stepping past what they cannot interact with, reading a known-property set instead of the ranks.

Summary
Every declaration, selector and at-rule of our output was diffed against lightningcss, csso, cssnano, esbuild, clean-css and tdewolff over the 77-stylesheet corpus. This PR takes the safe spellings that diff found. Across the corpus it saves 1,698 B gzip (61 files smaller, 3 larger by ≤9 B). The gap to lightningcss drops from +2,037 B to +412 B.
With a browser target, a vendor
@supportstest the standard one makes dead goes, and a gradient fallback a later gradient overrides is dropped. It also keeps only the digits a font-relative length needs to land on the same pixel (2/19em→.10526316em).Two bugs fixed on the way: the fusion check read
-+.5as two tokens, and:is()is not unwrapped after a pseudo-element.Not taken, on purpose: unquoting attribute values and writing icon escapes raw (both larger in gzip),
background:0 0,font-family:monospace,monospace, sides intoborder, dropping prefixed names fromtransitionlists (each changes a computed value), and-webkit-tap-highlight-color:#0000(a known mobile WebKit bug). What kind of change does this PR introduce?

No.
