🟡 Minor · Stop assignment collapsing at an uninitialized let declaration. · syntax-printer.js:27577-27603

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winStop assignment collapsing at an uninitialized
letdeclaration.The new
assignsLethook allowsgetLhsto accept a same-function assignment tolet. The scan then crosseslet x;because its variable-definition barrier requiresnode.init, andsideEffectsExternalreports no effect for an uninitialized declaration. Forfunction f(){ x = 1; let x; return x; }, this can move the assignment after the declaration and change the originalReferenceErrorinto a successful return.Suggested fix

lib/javascript/syntax-printer.js:29467-29473
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winExclude direct-eval and pinned functions from flattening.
The new
inlinesIntoCalleebranch makes an out-of-scope function in a conditional callee eligible forflattenFunction. The flattening gate excludesarguments, but notast.usesEval(lambda)orast.isPinned(lambda).For example, when
flagis true:var f = function(a) { return (eval("var x = 1"), a); }; var g = function(a) { return a; }; function run(flag, a) { var x = 0; (flag ? f : g)(a); return x; }Before flattening,
eval("var x = 1")declaresxinf, sorunreturns0. After flattening, the directevalcan execute inrunand change itsxto1. The same-namedaalias is accepted byaliasesParameter, which does not reject a lambda that uses directeval.Suggested fix

Folding an assignment to a function's `let` into a later read could move
it past `let x;` in the same block, so `{ x = 1; let x; return x; }` no
longer threw. The collapse scan now stops at the target's own `let`.
