1968 Cadillac DeVille Convertible

This 1968 Cadillac DeVille convertible was sold new in July 1968 by Capitol Cadillac-Oldsmobile of Washington, D.C. The selling dealer tells us it had some refurbishments completed in 2022. Powered by a 472ci V8, the car is refinished in Grecian White over red leather, and it has a three-speed automatic transmission, a power-adjustable front bench, power windows, automatic climate control, and a power-operated convertible soft top. This DeVille shows 59k miles, and it is offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with an owner’s manual, a Protect-O-Plate, and a Pennsylvania title.

Finished at the factory in Grecian White, the car was refinished under previous ownership, and it has cornering lights, front-quarter vent windows, rear fender skirts, and a power-operated white soft top.

The car is equipped with power steering, and vacuum-assisted drums provide braking. The 15″ steel wheels are trimmed with full covers, and they are mounted with thin-whitewall tires.

The red interior features button-tufted leather, a power-adjustable front bench, power windows, and automatic climate control. A retro-style stereo is also fitted, although the sound system is not working.

The color-keyed steering wheel is mounted on a tilt-and-telescoping column. The horizontal 120-mph speedometer has a five-digit odometer showing 59k miles.

The 472ci V8 was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque, which is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
