• The bundled German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil) and Ukrainian translations were revised against each locale’s official WordPress glossary, after an editor rightly pointed out they ignored it: the same words WordPress itself uses in that language, used the same way everywhere. Translations approved on translate.wordpress.org always take precedence over the bundled files.

• Four one-line notes about Postalion Pro, where it would help: Settings → Shop, Settings → Automatic emails, and the subject line and recipients of the composer. Administrators only, each hidden for good with its × button, and none once Pro is installed. Nothing in the free plugin is limited or locked.
• The Pro screen shows the founder’s price (40% off the first year, while the first fifty licences last) next to the regular one.

Niemand wordt erdoor ingeschreven: gebruikers van de site die nieuwsbrieven ontvangen en mensen die al abonnee zijn krijgen de tag, wie zich heeft uitgeschreven wordt met rust gelaten. Met Postalion Pro kan een tag een reeks starten.
• Sign-up checkboxes for Kadence Blocks advanced forms, Everest Forms, WS Form, the BuddyPress registration, the Easy Digital Downloads checkout and GiveWP donation forms.
• For add-ons: a postalion_integration_tagged action when another plugin’s event tags a subscriber.

• Fixed: the corner sign-up panel ran off the right edge of the screen in themes that do not set box-sizing (Twenty Twenty-Five among them), and the centred popup came out wider than set. The popup title also keeps clear of the close button.
• Inschrijvingen via formulieren (WPForms, Contact Form 7 en de andere): één veld “Naam” wordt gesplitst in voor- en achternaam, zodat {first_name} “Rosa” geeft en niet “Rosa Novak”.
• Mailchimp-import: kolommen die niemand heeft ingevuld worden weggelaten in plaats van lege aangepaste velden te worden.

• Four new templates, twelve in all: Modern (big black headlines, a thick rule; for studios and makers), Tech (dark header with a blue line, code-friendly; for software and product updates), Garden (soft greens, rounded corners; for gardens, nurseries, farms) and Café (cream paper, terracotta header, italic serif; for cafés, restaurants, bakeries).
• Buttons added with the Button block now take the template’s own colour where the template has one (Shop, Modern, Tech, Garden, Café). Before, the email kept the button dark although the template asked otherwise.

• Spam protection for the sign-up forms, under Settings → Subscribing: refuse throwaway inboxes (on by default), block domains of your choice, check sign-ups with Akismet when it is installed, or add Cloudflare Turnstile under every form. The hidden trap field and the rate limit stay.
• The sign-up form under every post (Settings → Form under posts): title, text, button, list and post types of your choice; posts that already have a form are left alone.
• The popup can be a corner panel instead of a centred box, and can appear after a delay, half-way down the page or when the visitor is about to leave.
• An email to you for each new subscriber, with their address, name and lists (Settings → Subscribing).

• Postalion Pro is out: the “Postalion Pro” screen now describes the add-on as released (sequences, segments, WooCommerce automations, priority support) with its prices, and a one-time note on the Postalion dashboard says so on sites that already send. The note stays on Postalion’s own screens, goes away with one click, and leaves by itself after a month. Nothing in the free plugin changes.
• Every icon button in the tables (preview, duplicate, resend, delete and the rest) now shows its name on hover and on keyboard focus.

• The Mobile preview (Logs, composer, templates) now shows an email the way a phone mail app does: a card laid out for a desktop width shrinks to the screen and long links wrap, so emails sent before 1.7.3 no longer look cut off there.

• Fixed: the confirmation email (and the “already on the list” note) had a fixed width and was cut off on phones and in the Mobile preview in Logs. They now fit any screen.
• Templates: a long link pasted into a newsletter wraps on phones instead of widening the email.

• Opgelost: het verborgen antispamveld van het formulier was alleen buiten beeld gezet, zodat automatisch aanvullen van de browser het kon invullen en een echte inschrijving stilletjes werd weggegooid terwijl het formulier “controleer je inbox” zei. Het veld wordt nu helemaal niet meer weergegeven (bots zien het nog wel in de paginabron).
• Een inschrijving die door het antispamveld is tegengehouden wordt nu met het adres naar Logs > Systeem geschreven (hoogstens één keer per uur per bezoeker), zodat je het kunt zien.
• Fixed: behind Cloudflare, the sign-up limit (10 an hour per visitor) counted Cloudflare’s addresses, so many visitors could share one limit. Postalion now uses the visitor’s address that Cloudflare passes on, only when the request really comes from Cloudflare. A postalion_client_ip filter covers other proxies.

• Fixed: a user of the site who signed up through a form (for example one with list=”…”) was told to check their inbox, but was not put on the list and received nothing. They now get a confirmation email and join the form’s list, tags and fields like any other visitor; the answer on the form is the same for everyone, so it does not reveal who has an account.
• Wie al abonnee is en zich opnieuw inschrijft ontvangt een korte e-mail “je staat al op de lijst” (hoogstens één keer per uur) in plaats van niets, en het Activiteitenlog toont het.

Zet ze er met de hand of in bulk op via het scherm Abonnees, vanuit een formulier ([postalion_form tags=”webinar”] of de instelling Tags van het blok), vanuit een kolom “tags” in een CSV-import, of vanuit code. Filter abonnees op tag, en stuur een nieuwsbrief naar iedereen met een bepaalde tag.
• Aangepaste velden: bedrijf, stad, verjaardag, abonnement, alles wat je over een abonnee wilt bewaren. Tekst, getal, datum of een keuze uit een lijst. Vraag ernaar in een formulier (fields=”company, city”), importeer ze uit CSV-kolommen, zie ze in de export, en gebruik ze in e-mails als {company}.
• Nieuwe e-mailvariabelen: {first_name}, {last_name} en één per aangepast veld; een onbekende waarde blijft leeg in plaats van de variabele te tonen.
• WooCommerce: met “Klanten bijhouden” aan (Instellingen → Winkel) geeft een betaalde bestelling de koper de tag “Klant” en houdt twee velden bij, “Laatste bestelling” en “Bestellingen”, als die abonnee is. Schrijf alleen klanten, of noem {last_order} in een e-mail. Niemand wordt door een aankoop ingeschreven.
• The personal data export and erasure cover tags and custom fields. Lists, tags and fields are managed on one screen, Postalion → Lists & tags.

• Sign-up checkboxes for WPForms and Fluent Forms, and for Elementor Pro forms (beta): a ticked box subscribes the address from the form, with double opt-in if it is on.
• Web version of every newsletter: a “View in browser” link in the footer opens it on your site, addressed to “there” and counting nothing. It can be turned off in Settings.
• Public archive: the [postalion_archive] shortcode lists the newsletters sent to everyone (or to the lists you name), newest first.
• Digest of new posts: every day, week or month, at the hour you choose, the posts published since the last digest go out as one newsletter, to everyone or to chosen lists. Nothing is sent when there is nothing new. A button sends you a test digest first.
