Cancun Mayan Museum

The Mayan Museum of Cancun exhibits one of the largest archaeological collections of the Mayan culture.

These pieces come from Quintana Roo, Chichen Itza and other sites.

The exhibition area is eight meters high and consists of three rooms.

The first of them is dedicated to the architecture of Quintana Roo and in it there are pieces and objects related to funeral rites and domestic activities.

The second room shows general elements about the Mayan culture, for example, their trade, development of their cities, wars, writing and calendar.

The third room is exclusively for temporary exhibits on Maya culture.

When visiting the museum you can also appreciate and visit other attractions such as the Nichupté lagoon.

You will also have access to the archaeological zone of San Miguelito, where you can see vestiges of the Mayan maritime community

The Mayan Museum is located in Cancun's Hotel Zone, at kilometer 16,5 of Blvd. Kukulcan.
