1957 Nash Metropolitan Hardtop
This 1957 Nash Metropolitan was refurbished under prior ownership in the early 2000s, and work included repainting the exterior teal and white as well as replacing exhaust and clutch components. It is powered by a 1.5-liter inline-four paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes 13″ steel wheels, a Continental-style rear tire carrier, a left side mirror, and houndstooth upholstery. This Metropolitan hardtop is offered at no reserve with spare parts and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.

The car has been repainted teal and white and is equipped with a Continental-style spare tire holder, chrome bumpers, and a left side mirror. Close-up images of exterior blemishes are provided in the gallery.

Body-color 13″ steel wheels with chrome hubcaps were mounted with Cooper tires in 2014. Replacement shocks have been installed, and braking is handled by four-wheel drums.

The seating surfaces are trimmed in white vinyl and houndstooth cloth. Interior equipment includes a black-painted dashboard, black carpeting, and wind-up windows. The radio does not work and the heater has been disconnected.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a Smiths 85-mph speedometer with an inset fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer does not work and shows 15k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The 1.5-liter Austin B-Series inline-four is equipped with a single downdraft carburetor and was factory rated at 52 horsepower and 77 lb-ft of torque.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. The secondary clutch cylinder and exhaust system are noted to have been replaced during the refurbishment.
