1973 Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer 710M

This 1973 Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer 710M is a soft-top troop carrier that was reportedly used as an off-road tour vehicle under prior ownership and was purchased by the seller on BaT in March 2023. Under current ownership, the truck was repainted olive drab green, the carburetors were rebuilt, the fluids were serviced, the valve covers were resurfaced, and the fuel pump, batteries, and various gaskets and seals were replaced. The truck is powered by an air-cooled 2.5-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle, a two-speed transfer case, and three hydraulically locking differentials. Additional equipment includes a canvas soft top, inward-facing rear bench seats, a rear pintle hitch, and portal axles. This 710M is offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The truck was repainted olive drab green under current ownership. Equipment includes a canvas soft top, a rear pintle hitch, storage lockers, dual side mirrors, mud flaps, and a retractable rear step.

Painted 16″ steel wheels are mounted with 285/75 Hankook Dynapro MT tires. A matching spare is affixed to the rear, and the truck rides on Rancho shocks.

The driver’s seat is trimmed in damaged blue fabric, while the passenger seat is upholstered in black vinyl that shows signs of tearing and wear. The three-spoke steering wheel has been wrapped in tape and sits ahead of a 100-km/h speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, and an altimeter and barometer. Controls for the hydraulically operated shift-on-the-fly locking differentials are mounted in the center stack, and the push/pull breaker buttons on the dash control circuits for the 24-volt electrical system. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 44k kilometers (~27k miles). Total mileage is unknown.

The cargo area houses inward-facing troop seats upholstered in blue vinyl.
