Modified 1988 Suzuki Samurai 5-Speed
This 1988 Suzuki Samurai is powered by a 1.6-liter Geo Tracker inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case. The truck is finished in gray over dark gray cloth upholstery and is equipped with 17″ bronze-finished wheels, a 4″ suspension lift, manually locking front hubs, an aftermarket front bumper, auxiliary LED lights, aftermarket headlights, front and rear tow hooks, all-weather floor mats, and a Kenwood CD stereo. The truck was registered in Idaho and Washington State before it was purchased by the seller on BaT in April 2023, and exhaust components have since been replaced. This Samurai is offered in California at no reserve with service records, a spare top, a clean Carfax report, and a clean South Dakota title in the seller’s name.

The truck has been repainted in gray and has black trim, body-color wheel-arch extensions, and a black bikini top. Additional exterior details include aftermarket headlights, auxiliary LED lighting, front and rear tow hooks, a swing-out tailgate, and an aftermarket front bumper.

Bronze-finished 17″ wheels wear 265/70 Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3 tires that were mounted in 2022, and a covered spare is secured on the rear carrier. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. A heavy-duty steering kit and a 4″ suspension lift have been installed.

The front bucket seats are said to have been sourced from a Chevrolet Trax, and the front and rear seats wear seat covers. Other equipment includes all-weather floor mats, a passenger grab handle, and a Kenwood CD stereo with Bluetooth. The floor of the truck has been coated with bedliner material, and chips are noted near the pedals.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 95-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and ancillary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 46k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The factory engine was replaced under prior ownership with a 1.6-liter eight-valve inline-four reportedly sourced from a Geo Tracker, and it is equipped with a Weber carburetor. The spark plugs, ignition coil and wires, and the distributor cap and rotor were replaced in 2022, and work in 2023 included repairing the cracked exhaust-manifold and replacing the oil-pan gasket. An oil change was carried out under current ownership.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. A replacement exhaust pipe and muffler were fitted under current ownership.
The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries.
The vehicle’s South Dakota title is a duplicate.
The truck has not passed a California emissions inspection.
